Hello peeps!! (^o^)v

Before you read this entry, and before everything else, say this "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim".

How are you? How's your mum and dad? And most important, how's your IMAN today? (probably im asking myself) >_<

Its been long since last I'm blogging (25 August 2011).

Haaaa...(can't believe it myself though)

It's more than two months already. haha. Many of you keep asking me 'blog on/off?', 'quit blogging?', 'i'm waiting' and many more (not so many actually). Im so sorry. (-_-)

So what's the reason for not blogging in these two months? There're too many reasons to be told . haha. But of course the main reason is "I like to read 100 times more than I like to write or type". LOL. In fact, its true.

And these two months keep a lot of stories, a lot of unexpected experience, a lot of open-minded journey and a lot of knowledge to be told and to be share with. It brings back memory, when I want to start blogging for the first time. The purpose were for me and others to keep remembering Allah and to share my life experience with others just like the title goes "LifeLikeThese". (although Im just a 19 year old unexperienced boy) LOL.

It was 7th September 2011, the unforgettable date, the date which spark the change in my life, the date which stirred the history of the world <----(okay, I think this is too much), the date when I registered to Putra University of Malaysia (UPM). <(^o^<)

Do I love this university? Well, who know...

What do you want to know about this university? Everything? Then you can ask your best friend "Google". Haha. Well, UPM is a very good, well-known, world famous agriculture university and I feel very grateful to be accepted as a student here. Alhamdulillah. I'm taking Bachelor of Forestry Science (a bio-based professional degree) here and it's a wonderful yet extreme course actually. Not so bad at all and much better than I think it is.

This is when you say "The real life began". Why? Because almost everything here you do it yourself. No more teacher to guide you or people who freely show you to everything. This is when your life-survival-skills come to practical. For example, you need to register your courses by yourself. It took me three times meeting with Prof. Zakaria (my PA) to get my courses registered correctly. Also not having laptop on my own really trouble me when I late to register my courses (two weeks late.. ). I even being summoned to the Deputy Dean of Students Affairs office (TDHEP) because of this. (-_-)

But on the other side, I get to know the Deputy Dean and lecturers before anyone else. (^-^)

*trying to be positive..

These nearly two months in UPM really thought me a lot. With many activities were held every weeks, it's up to you to choose which one you want to participate. I just can't let go the opportunity but to study is still my top priority here.

Before I forgot, let me tell you this, I was registered to "Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail".

This is one hell of a college I can say. haha. Said this to anyone (year three and above) you meet, "KTDI", and they'll probably know it as a respected yet sometimes a bit annoying college. LOL. The most famous (really?...its famous for me) college in UPM with unbroken record in sport, Overall Champion in Inter-colleges Sport for 17 years consecutively. Also known as "MPP producer", which mean most of the MPP came from this college and many more achievements. I dont want to write much about this traditional college (college in UPM is divided into traditional and non-traditional college...well, that's how they call it), but for sure, they've manage to change me into someone else, change my perspective of view, and yet change my personality to be a bit better (I think...).

When you are accepted to UPM and were registered in KTDI, that's the real deal. Whether you sink or you swim. Let only the KTDI-ans know what I mean. haha. And honestly, I LOVE this college so much. (~_n)v

There's time when I couldn't control myself, I lost to the hectic life in university which I didn't fully explored yet. I frustrated, I tension, and I depressed. I cried because I can't endure it, because I can't fulfill my responsibility as student and as God slave. Yet I talk to myself, "this is just the beginning, the real problem is whether you can make a comeback from all these grief or not". Maybe you will laughed at me when reading this, but its all really happened to me, and maybe some of my friend too. We learn from step to step to endure it, and finally we've managed to pass through it.

One of my lecturer from Faculty of Human Ecology said this to me(actually they were 11 of us),

"Kalau awak tak perform dalam study, ada dua je...yg pertama, pegi dekat kolej 10, naik kat tingkat atas, pastu terjun.....

yg kedua, pegi dekat tasik yg dekat ngan masjid upm tu, pastu masuk dalam tu jangan keluar2...

xde alasan untuk tak perform dalam study...dosa ngan Allah Taala sebab kite main2 dalam pelajaran...saya nak awak sem depan bole bertanding dalam MPP....sape x dapat pointer 3 ke atas untuk sem ni, sem depan aku jumpe, aku gelek die..."

Although we know that he is joking, but deep down in our heart we get what he means..There's no more playing around, no more excuses if we still not doing our best. We have to manage our time wisely.

*Although being an MPP never crossed my mind (0_0)

That's all I want to write tonight......and what about the title?

Haha. Just to say that my work involve using my laptop a lot (to do assignments and as secretary) yet I don't blogging for two months. Silly me. (>_<)

"Do You Know?" facts about Ramadhan

Hello readers...may Allah bless all of you always. :)

Today, I went to 'bazaar Ramadhan' not 'bazir Ramadhan' to be precise, looking for foods. But I think most of the people have made it 'bazir Ramadhan' so far as I can see. Is it including you?? haha..I hope not.

There are too many foods even my eyes go 'blink-blink' like this ----> (@__@)...

Okay, back to our topic....8 facts about Ramadhan..some of it doesn't happen in our country..:

1. People can’t seem to agree that planet earth has only one moon.

We have established that Ramadan begins with the sighting of the first new moon of this month.It is fascinating that the Sunni sect and the Shiite sect almost always happen to sight the new moon on separate days, and then begin their fast accordingly.

Interesting, I am pretty sure that planet earth has only one moon. XD

2. Grocery shopping before Ramadan can be a HELL.

If you would go grocery shopping 1 or 2 days before Ramadan, My GOD! people fill up their shopping carts with one year supply of groceries.

People! fasting lasts couple of hours from dawn till dusk, for only a month, not a year. You will starve! but not to death!

3. The new definition of Ramadan is to sit in front of a TV the whole day to watch programs and series.

Talk about abstaining oneself from worldly pleasures, people pray that there is something good to watch of TV this month. Since this is the time for arab media to launch new arabic series during the month of Ramadan. The same goes in Malaysia right...series like "Ramadhan Terakhir"...

4. Why starve for few hours when you can sleep and wake up 10 minutes before breaking the fast?

Many people, specifically teenagers would sleep during the fast and wake up a few minutes before the breaking of the fast.

You would hear them say things like “wow, fasting is so easy! I didn’t even feel it!”. Yeah, I think you guys are missing the point of fasting which is to feel for poor people who are starving and have nothing to eat.

5. People gain a lot of weight in Ramadan?

Yes they do. It’s strange isn’t it? You would expect people to lose weight, but it’s the other way around, why?

Lets go back to point number 2, grocery shopping. In addition, the type of diet followed in Ramadan, which consists of heavy meals and desserts, containing a lot of fat and oil; eating late at night, and no exercise. take note about this.

A diet that is a guarantee to have you gain weight, get your cholesterol level high, and end up with diabetes. I also have wrote about this [HERE].

6. The 10 minutes before the breaking of the fast is the most dangerous hour in Saudi Arabia.

That is if you are outside or on the road.

People are usually heading home from work at this time, and they are angry, God forbid if they are 5 or 10 minutes late, they will starve to death if they can’t make it home on time for the breaking of the fast.

My advice don’t go out at this time, and don’t even think about crossing the street, there is a lot of tension at this time. Drivers go crazy, they run over red lights. Someone will run you over too! Thank God it's not happened in our country.

7. The happiest people in Ramadan are the retail businesses, because Ramadan = Shopping!

The end of the Ramadan month is followed by a holiday celebration “Eid al Fatter”. This is the perfect time for retails to raise their prices to make sales.

People (specifically women) get too busy during Ramadan shopping for the perfect outfit to wear on Eid Day and show off to friends and family. In addition, buy gifts for family.

Shopping is more important than prayers and charity in Saudi Arabia during Ramadan. Not in Saudi only I think... (-,-")

8. People look forward to this month and get excited about Ramadan…that was the case in the past.

Nowadays Ramadan is a burden. Huh??

The month is falling during summer (hot and humid weather), which means longer hours to fast. the summer vacation time is cut short for vacationers because of Ramadan.

One can sense that people have lost interest, you can feel the hypocrisy when people speak of Ramadan and how much they are looking forward to this month, but can tell by the expressions on their faces that it’s not really true.

It seems like the “Devil” makes a visit to Saudi Arabia during Ramadan.

Can you actually drop weight and keep it off with fasting?

ever think like this?

yeah, maybe sometimes or maybe some of us really think like that..

Here's the answer in a word, NO.

Remember the last time you had the flu and couldn’t keep anything down?

Yep, you did drop some weight, most of it water weight, and perhaps a pound or two of fat, depending upon the length of non-eating time.

However,

as you recovered, you probably also remember in vivid detail how your hunger kicked in big time and before you knew it, you’d compensated for the weight loss and then some.

This is actually a beautiful example of how incredible your body is when you provide it with a survival challenge.

Furthermore...as a Muslim, please keep this in your mind.."anything you do is as a matter of course for Allah only"

and fasting in Islam teaches man the principle of sincere Love: because when he observes Fasting he does it out of deep love for Allah. And the man who loves Allah truly is a man who really knows what love is.

A GREAT MEANING actually, and it really dig a big hole inside of my heart..

Further flashback

The 'Sahaabah' almost didn't sleep at night to worship Allah, wearing worn-out yet thin dress, and also participated in the war. But none of them ever sleep nor feel sleepy while listening to the speeches of The Prophet.
Then, why??

Not the 'Khutbah' only, do you agree if I say almost every religious speeches that we attend(maybe half of it) , we will feel sleepy??
Is there another factors or is it just about our 'IMAN'???

Isra' and Mi'raj are two parts of Night Journey where our Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) experienced in a single night.

Isra' means the night journey from 'Masjid Al-Haram' in Mecca to 'Masjid Al-Aqsa' in Palestine.

While Mi'raj means the journey of Muhammad(PBUH) from 'Masjid Al-Aqsa' in Palestine to 'Sidratul Muntaha' through the sky.

I started my driving class about a month ago. As usual we need to attend the theory and practical class. At the class I sit next to this brutal looking person. I'm not so friendly or kind-hearted neighbourly person especially to strangers. But it sure feel really awkward sitting in silent like dead body or what...

So i guess, its not a sin to break the silent right. I started the conversation although it take me 10 minutes to start. hahaha

I said "Hye" while holding out my hand to shake with him. He do replied me but he refused to shake hand with me. I wonder why?? But maybe I think he didn't used to shake hand with strangers. I asked about his name and he just ask me to call him "Dee".

Then we continue chit-chatting while waiting for the lecturer to come. He sure are very friendly and really talkative person despite his brutal macho looking face. :D

Then after the practical class*its my first time driving a car we waited for our name to be called at the waiting area. Then this name is called "Nur Jennifer Lopez Binti Bruce Willis"*real name be kept confidential.

Dee just got up and walked to the counter and took the IC card before he vanished out of sight. For a moment I'm wondering...

Hackers Now Target PM Dept's Website??

Last week, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said Anonymous hacked 51 government websites and crippled 41 out of it but no official data were compromised.

In a Youtube posting titled Ops2.mov, the hackers, known as ‘Anonymous’ said the attack targetted at www.pmo.gov.my would take place on July 4, at 1.37pm.

since Anonymous itself have said that, this is a fake....well, you can tell by watching it...XD

its different from their previous video...

fake or not, the government can not lower their guard...

its best to take precaution step right...(~_n)

BERSIH 2.0 | The Show Must Go On

What are "BERSIH" purposes...???

These are the 8 immediate demands for Perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0:

1. Clean the electoral roll

The electoral roll is marred with irregularities such as deceased persons and multiple persons registered under a single address or non-existent addresses. The electoral roll must be revised and updated to wipe out these ‘phantom voters’. The rakyat have a right to an electoral roll that is an accurate reflection of the voting population.

In the longer term, BERSIH 2.0 also calls for the EC to implement an automated voter registration system upon eligibility to reduce irregularities.

2. Reform postal ballot

The current postal ballot system must be reformed to ensure that all citizens of Malaysia are able to exercise their right to vote. Postal ballot should not only be open for all Malaysian citizens living abroad, but also for those within the country who cannot be physically present in their voting constituency on polling day. Police, military and civil servants too must vote normally like other voters if not on duty on polling day.

The postal ballot system must be transparent. Party agents should be allowed to monitor the entire process of postal voting.

3. Use of indelible ink

Indelible ink must be used in all elections. It is a simple, affordable and effective solution in preventing voter fraud. In 2007, the EC decided to implement the use of indelible ink. However, in the final days leading up to the 12th General Elections, the EC decided to withdraw the use of indelible ink citing legal reasons and rumours of sabotage.

BERSIH 2.0 demands for indelible ink to be used for all the upcoming elections. Failure to do so will lead to the inevitable conclusion that there is an intention to allow voter fraud.

4. Minimum 21 days campaign period

The EC should stipulate a campaign period of not less than 21 days. A longer campaign period would allow voters more time to gather information and deliberate on their choices. It will also allow candidates more time to disseminate information to rural areas. The first national elections in 1955 under the British Colonial Government had a campaign period of 42 days but the campaign period for 12th GE in 2008 was a mere 8 days.

5. Free and fair access to media

It is no secret that the Malaysian mainstream media fails to practice proportionate, fair and objective reporting for political parties of all divide. BERSIH 2.0 calls on the EC to press for all media agencies, especially state-funded media agencies such as Radio and Television Malaysia (RTM) and Bernama to allocate proportionate and objective coverage for all potlical parties.

6. Strengthen public institutions

Public institutions must act independently and impartially in upholding the rule of law and democracy. Public institutions such as the Judiciary, Attorney-General, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC), Police and the EC must be reformed to act independently, uphold laws and protect human rights.

In particular, the EC must perform its constitutional duty to act independently and impartially so as to enjoy public confidence. The EC cannot continue to claim that they have no power to act, as the law provides for sufficient powers to institute a credible electoral system.

7. Stop corruption

Corruption is a disease that has infected every aspect of Malaysian life. BERSIH 2.0 and the rakyat demand for an end to all forms of corruption. Current efforts to eradicate corruption are mere tokens to appease public grouses. We demand that serious action is taken against ALL allegations of corruption, including vote buying.

8. Stop dirty politics

Malaysians are tired of dirty politics that has been the main feature of the Malaysian political arena. We demand for all political parties and politicians to put an end to gutter politics. As citizens and voters, we are not interested in gutter politics; we are interested in policies that affect the nation.

PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim said that he would tell Bersih 2.0 chairperson S Ambiga to call off the July 9 rally if Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak can assure tomorrow that elections will be free and fair.

if Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak do not want the rally to be held, is he telling us that the elections wouldn't be free and fair...???

feel so great and very grateful to be selected...Alhamdulillah...

but on the first three days as facilitator, I fell sick...(T^T)...so bad that i wish i could just go back home on the second day...huhu

today is 8th May. so what? huhu..
as we already know it is Mother's Day. so, yesterday me and my family went to jay bee or more specificly KFC Jusco Taman U to celebrate it...
why not today?? who care..LOL...for me everyday is Mother's Day....HAHAH

yeeaahh..

actually, me and my brother want to go to Pizza (almost once every two years you know), but its so crowded with people probably celebrating Mother's Day too I think....cursed that people..HAHA

this is my mom and my youngest brother..

I love my mom. proud to be her son. wish you all the best in life and afterlife. forgive me for everything..(n__n)

and one more thing, we also celebrated my father and my eldest brother's birthday which fall on 4th and 8th May (today) respectively...its more saving and wise decision...hoho..

for angah and syafiq, dont be jealous if you read this....XD

but, something unexpected also happened yesterday which is I met with my principal from my former school. if you have read my post here you'll know that he have great influence in my life. million thanks to him...

and maybe this is my last post untill June because from today onward, i'll be very busy. many things have to be done like getting my car license, camping at kajang, and as facilitator at KMNS my former college. huhu

after that, of course i'll share my experience with you guys. so, wait for my post....HAHAH

COMMENT It’s not like I choose to always write when the president goes missing but as luck would have it, those are the only times worth speaking out. Where I have often called for the president and prime minister – sometimes receiving a not-so-supportive response – this time I believe my call is completely legit. After all, Osama bin Laden was killed (at least that’s what the Americans said).

But first, I’ll focus on our ‘allies’ a bit.

As President Obama started talking about how that “bright September day was darkened”, American people began rejoicing and the scenes of celebration were similar to those I witnessed on St.Patrick’s Day while in university – except, instead of green accessories, there was a whole lot of stripes and stars involved here.

But that’s okay. Why shouldn’t the Americans celebrate? After all, nearly 3,000 of them were killed because of this man and his network – it only made sense to run outside the White House with the US flag wrapped around their heads.

Did they for a second stop and ask for proof? No why would they, Obama saved the day (and his votes) – that’s all that mattered.

I wish us Pakistanis had that kind of blind trust on our leaders’ statements. I mean think back to Hakimullah Mehsud – Interior Minister Rehman Malik killed him a couple of times and once even created his twin in Afghanistan. So I guess it’s only natural for us not to believe anything coming out of our leadership (the fact that they didn’t say anything at all yesterday, is a different story).

But wait, why don’t the Americans think 'Iraq' for a second. WMD anyone? And even Afghanistan? A decade there and still the most wanted man was found in Pakistan’s backyard. Oops? Doesn’t the US public want to question anything? Or was “DNA confirms Osama dead” enough?

He was the most wanted man in the world, responsible for the death of thousands! And what did the US forces do? Secretly kill him and dump him in the sea. Seriously? As Obama was promising brighter days ahead, no one seemed to be concerned with ‘what next’, because we all do know that this ‘war’ is far being over.

Osama has been killed several times over the years, however, this time was different because we actually had visual proof ... of the ‘mansion', the helicopter, the blood-stained floors. Yes, that should be enough now to know that this time he really was killed.

Assuming there are no loopholes in the US’ great hunt story and going by what supposedly happened yesterday, fact remains that Osama was killed in Pakistan. Not a cave in some tribal border area but right here in Abbottabad.

'Bash Pakistan'

Obama spoke at around 8:30 am local time. Shortly after, Afghan President Karzai came out and said something which pretty much sounded like ‘it wasn’t me … it wasn’t me’ and then the Indians seized the opportunity and spoke along the lines of ‘told you so… told you so’ – so basically everyone got their turn at riding the Bash Pakistan bandwagon. And for good reason of course, yes, yes, no denying we do support terrorists, quite right.

So here comes my favourite part, while Osama was dying and Obama was doing the happy dance, where were you Pakistani leaders? Haven’t you embarrassed us enough already?

Until about 12:00pm yesterday, there was no word from Pakistan – shortly after noon, the Foreign Office woke up and had some nice bits and pieces of information to share. Still no Gilani. No Zardari. No Kayani. No Pasha.

Somewhere in the afternoon (after a nice sleep-in perhaps) Prime Minister Gilani came out only to say ‘errr, I don’t have any details yet…’. Okay then.

Why didn’t we have any details when Obama specifically in his address mentioned that this couldn’t have been achieved without Pakistan’s ‘cooperation’?

And what about Pakistan’s mainstream media?

Normally we are quick to jump and question everything but this time, our televisions ran tickers of statements coming in from the US while the local headlines focused on PML-Q’s oath-taking at 7:00pm.

And then of course there were clips of the ‘mansion’ and the blood-stained floors inside. Where were all your hard-hitting questions Pakistani media – or do you only reserve those for our own leadership?

The US has a lot to answer but so far they have been giving us a great story, but what about our own government and establishment? We have nothing to celebrate for.

We cannot take out our flags and run across the country because chances are some suicide bomber somewhere will mar that celebration anyway. Instead, we have a lot to worry about now (once again assuming Osama was killed yesterday).

The al Qaeda backlash, the ISI’s supposed intelligence failure, the Pakistani leadership’s silence and the media’s confusion. As for the world hating us a bit more, I don’t think that’ll be a real problem – those who need to get their tickets out of here, normally do manage to find a way to do so anyway.

For those of us who are stuck here meanwhile, ask questions. Ask why Osama was there, why no one knew, how the US knew, why we stayed silent and most of all, why do we never ever cease to disappoint ourselves.

As an after thought, also do ask why more than anyone else failing or insulting us, it is our own security establishment that takes the cake each time.

Peaca be upon all of you..

Today is 2nd May 2011..
it have been a year since he left us, Muhammad Syafiq B. Abd Rahman...
couldnt forget the date..

i got this from his fb account...really missed him

althought we knew each other since form 1, it was at form 2 that i could really know about him, about his character, about his style..

well, we've never been in the same class right...

i still remember the day when i returned to Maahad Johor after the holidays..

when i entered my room, my friend Ahmad Sallehuddin or i called him wak leh asked me..

"Apis, do you have a friend called Gus"...I answered "yes, why?"...

he replied "he passed away right?"

..(*O*)..

at first I thought it was a joke or he mistake it for someone else...coz we always making joke to each other...but, that night I knew the truth that it is really him who passed away...(T^T)

couldn't believed what I heard, coz we just met each other during our batch first gathering at Kluang RFC on 1st May 2010...

after long time being apart, we barely spoke to each other during the gathering...
that was the most regrettable moment as long as i remember with him...

well, let bygone be bygone right...there was nothing to be regret with...

about him that i can remember...funny, sometime serious, reliable, occasionally uncontrolled...haha, trustworthy and very COOL person...

today i feel happy..(^_^)...because of what..??...
its because my 'Die Hard Fans'(what a word to use) keep increasing...haha...

its not so important for you to read this...but i really appreciate those who follow my blog..
coz..they inspire me to keep on writing...haha

actually, i love to read not to write...but now its different...
maybe someday i will have to use my skill of writing at crucial moment...well, who knows the future right??

it is a celebration of international labour movement and left-wing movements. its commonly sees organized street demonstration and marches by working people and their labour unions throughout most of the world.

actually, i went there to.....attend MJ awards day..(http://www.maahadjohor.com/)..., to kill the boring feel at home, and to meet my old friends and teachers...for only 2 days...but it end up me strolling at JB for 3 days...hahah

this is my first post but this is not my first blog..

but this time ill do it seriously...i mean the blogging...XP

20th april 2011....a day to remember right...

since it was the day i become officially x-kmns...wahaha

it was the best period in my life...and now ive become free again....FREEDOOOM....until when??...who know...LOL

no more tutorial, no more lecture, no more quiz or pop quiz,

no more tido surau, no more kejut suboh, no more volleyball with h3p6,

no more ulu bendul, sremban, psar malam, econsave,

no more squash, badminton, jogging2, jungle trekking with roommate,

no more kopsa, kedai serbaneka, cafe2, no more...emm...wat ever

im back to normal...hoho

but truthfully...i missed them all...waaaaaa....(T^T)

usually, at this our...im doing my tutuorial....(poyo)....hahahah

but, its not over...i do learn a lot of things like..

-if you want to survive, you have to study...its like swim or sink situation..haha..well i guess..

-no more shy2 cat with gurlz la.... its really hard 4 me..owh...took about 6 month to overcome that problem...haha...well, what can i do??..its my first exposure to them...LOL

-hmm....else like...i learn to make a lot of friends...handling programs like nasyid or biofair or badminton tournament...huhu...quite busy right..

this is my classmates..(>___<)..H2P6

only 3 boys with 20 girls...very unfair..haha

we've done many things together...study, eat, drink, laughing, taking pics and more...with a bit quarrel, nonsense chit-chat and bla3...

i missed you all guys...
